Summer Scholars Series – 2024!
Join us for three online discussions led by scholars and master teachers on selected topics in the liberal arts and classical Christian educational pedagogy! The Summer Scholar Series is sponsored by Kepler Education and The Consortium of Classical Educators. It aims to help teachers, homeschool parents, or interested adult learners to recharge, refresh, and rekindle their passion for the great texts and topics of Western Civilization. Registrants will receive links to the recordings of each session they sign up for, even if they are unable to attend.

Presenter Bios
Gregory Wilbur is the Founder, permanent Trustee, Dean of Students, and Senior Fellow at New College Franklin. He holds a M.M. Composition, University of Alabama and a B.A. Music (English minor), University of Alabama. In addition to his role at New College Franklin, he is the Chief Musician of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA) and is the author and contributor to several books, numerous articles and speaks regularly on the arts, worship, and education at various conferences and schools. He contributes to The Christward Collective and the CiRCE Institute Blog and has composed award-winning works for choir, orchestra, film, and corporate worship as well as various commissions. He recently released his seventh CD of congregational hymns called Securely I Will Dwell.He lives in Franklin with his wife Sophia and daughter Eleanor.
Junius Johnson is a writer, teacher, speaker, independent scholar, and musician. His work focuses on beauty, imagination, and wonder, and how these are at play in the Christian and Classical intellectual traditions. He is the executive director of Junius Johnson Academics, through which he offers innovative classes for both children and adults that aim to ignite student hearts with wonder and intellectual rigor. He performs professionally on the french horn and electric bass. He holds a BA from Oral Roberts University (English Lit), an MAR from Yale Divinity School (Historical Theology), and an MA, two MPhils, and a PhD (Philosophical Theology) from Yale University. He is the author of 5 books, including The Father of Lights: A Theology of Beauty, and On Teaching Fairy Stories. He is co-host of The Classical Mind podcast and is a member of The Cultivating Project.
William Carey studied classics and history at the University of Virginia before teaching Latin, Mathematics, and Science at a classical Christian school in Virginia. He is a featured instructor at ClassicalU (Classical Academic Press). His current project is bringing his love for the classics and mathematics together to build a classical mathematics curriculum. He and his wife Maren are members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Haymarket, Virginia, and are privileged to be staff for their most excellent cat, Georgia.
